Pittosporum daphniphylloides

Vernacular name:
Daphne-leaved pittosporum
Famille:
Pittospotaceae

Pittosporum daphniphylloides is an Asian shrub native to western China and Taiwan. Classified in the category of "small trees", it can reach up to 5 meters wide. Its evergreen foliage consists of dark green leaves of elliptical and pointed shape. In spring, this charming pittosporum reveals delicate bouquets of pale yellow flowers, similar to very fragrant little bells. After flowering, globose capsules are formed. These contain red seeds that turn black as they dry.

Plant it in well-drained soil, ideally in partial shade, sheltered from the wind.
