DESCRIPTION GENERALE

  • ORIGIN: Native to Oregon, G. x issaquahensis originated from a hybrid of G. elliptica and G. fremontii (North American) in the 1960s, which was widely distributed and led to the 'Pat Ballard' selection. 'Glasnevin Wine' is a later hybrid bred in Glasnevin, Ireland, exhibiting wine-colored coloration on new growth and a wine-reddening on catkins, especially males.
  • CLIMAT:  Légèrement plus résistant au froid que G. elliptique 'James Roof'.
  • EXPOSURE: Sunny to partial shade. An open exposure is preferable.
  • SOIL: Well drained.
  • GROWTH: Rapid.
  • PATHOLOGY:
  • MULTIPLICATION:
  • PRUNING: Prune after flowering in spring if necessary. The plant doesn't really need pruning. To keep the plant in shape, long shoots can be shortened in spring and/or summer to maintain the plant's form.
