GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • ORIGIN: Endemic to central Argentina. (Catamarca, Córdoba, Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán.) It was first introduced to the Copenhagen Botanical Garden in 1949, from seeds collected at 2,600 m altitude in Tucumán by J.P. Hjerting.
